Coach 3 - Beaches, Bakeries and Birthdays

Today was an early start for Coach 3 but all the Brownies made it to breakfast to sample their first pan au chocolate of the trip!  First stop of the day was sand yachting at Boulogne-Sur-Mer. We had enough wind for the girls to properly have a go, although this turned into a bit too much wind after a while and we had to swap the sails for smaller ones so the girls didn't take off!

Amy said that "Sand Yachting was Awesome" and it was definitely the favourite activity of the day.  Great fun was he by all and the girls showed excellent teamwork skills to help their partner who they didn't necessarily know before!

Even the leaders got to have a go at the end which entertained the Brownies a lot! Some leaders even went off sea kayaking and returned safely!

Coach 3 after sand yachting!

After a great morning sand yachting we ate lunch on the beach and then everyone chose to stay there and chill out, build some sandcastles, paddle in the sea and relax a bit.   After lunch it was off to the
Boulangerie to meet Bruno the baker.   Here the girls heard about the traditional way to make bread, croissant and pain au chocolat and then tried making the pastries.  The highlight was eating a pain au
chocolat at the end!

We returned to the Chateau to chill out for a bit before dinner.  The best bit about dinner was the birthday cake we had to celebrate Hannah's 10th birthday!

Happy 10th Birthday Hannah!

After dinner the Brownies had a French night where amongst other things they made crepes, and Hereford Brownies even got into character!

A great day had by all nicely summed up by Amber from Bromsgrove saying "it was the best day ever!"  Everyone is looking forward to more tomorrow and heading to Belgium!
